Daily Oral LanguageThe first SOL Test is Writing. This test will be taken in the beginning of March. Students are practicing prompt writing and working with testing strategies. The first part of the test will be multiple choice and works with the understanding of the writing process. Students work with the 3 Domains of writing each day. They need to be able to compose, revise for written expression, and edit for usage and mechanics. Usage and Mechanics is an important piece of understanding, speaking and writing the English language. You can support your child by helping them to edit all written work and by correcting them when they speak incorrectly.
